3 Days Desert tour from Fes

Day 1 : Fes - Middle Atlas - Merzouga Desert - Camel trek and overnight in the Berber tent

Our team will pick you up at your hotel/riad and will leave Fes travelling towards Ifran a beautiful mountains village and then on to Midelt. During this journey you'll discover glimpses of the Middle Atlas and Higher Atlas mountains. Stopping at Azrou a Berber village in the middle of the famous cedar forest - the largest in Morocco - where you may well sight Barbary apes. After sometime within the forest your journey continues to Midelt along the magnificent hills and mountains of the Atlas after Midelt town you will be travelling through the fascinating Tiz Ntalghamt pass and the Ziz Gorge taking in views of the High Atlas plateau you'll notice how the scenery changes to reveal hints of the desert as you approach the city of Errachidia here you will have lunch and enjoy the Berber hospitality. Afterwards you will travel along the luxuriant Ziz Valley stopping for panoramic views along the way to Erfoud and Rissani. Arrive at Merzouga on the afternoon. You'll be welcomed with a glass of mint tea before you camel ride guided by an experienced camel man to explore within the golden sand sea of Merzouga. Dinner in front of the tent where you will spend the night.

Day 2 : Merzouga Desert - Nomad Families - Tissardmin Oasis - Khamlia - Erg Chebbi

The whole is spent in desert. Date with the sunrise If you are In the middle of the desert it`s absolutely worth getting up early to contemplate the most spectacular sunrise you've ever seen at the top of a dune close to the camp and enjoy this landscape which is a gift of nature. After sunrise we return to Merzouga on the camels where a hearty breakfast is waiting for us. Then we`ll skirt the Erg Chebbi great extension of sandy desert where we can find the Big Dune of Morocco. which has more than 250mts high. We continue then by the road that was formerly used for the Paris - Dakar and ends in the mountains that limit with Agelia. Stop at Tissardmin oasis where we can find fossil quarries still present in the area we continue then by a road where we can see nomad settlements and learn their secrets and manners. The next stop will be at a viewpoint to contemplate the hole Erg Chebbi. We`ll reach then Kamilia Village originally from Mali where we'll take a relaxing cup of tea meanwhile we listen to a concert of the spiritual music of Gnawa.Transfer to your accommodation and free afternoon to enjoy the town or the dunes next to the hotel to see the sunset. Dinner and night in the hotel.

Day 3 : Merzouga Desert and monkey troupes of Azrou - Fes

Once ready our team and you start our last day to the north through the Tafilalet palm grove the biggest in the world. You'll see thousands of palm trees along the 20km of road. This way leads us to the Ziz valley which river comes down from the high Atlas and feeds the palm grove. Here we make a stop and from this high viewpoint enjoy a magnificent view of the valley and the town of Aoufous. We make another break in Midelt just in the heart of the Atlas where you'll have free time for lunch and rest for a while. In the afternoon we continue our way through the Cedar Woods where if we are lucky we'll see some monkeys. The next place we'll visit is the city of Ifrane situated in the northwestern slope of the Middle Atlas at 1630 meters above the water level. Its broad avenues its urban development with perfect cleanness the gardens the green areas and its architecture make this city look like a swiss town. Ifrane feels misplaced in Morocco. Thats why it's named the moroccan Switzerland and if that's not enough it has an important ski resort Michlifen About 6 pm we arrive at Fez transfer to the hotel and end of our services. 3 days Fez to Sahara desert and Marrakech

Day 1: Fez - Ifrane - Midelt - Ziz Valley - Erfoud - Merzouga Desert

After greetings we will pick you up from your Hotel then drive south to Ifrane and Azrou via the Middle Atlas mountains. On the way we will stop at the cedar forests to see the Barbarian Apes in their natural habitat. Through the Tizi Ntalghamt pass we travel to Midelt and along the Ziz Valley carved through volcanic rock you'll see a panoramic view of the Middle-Atlas landscapes and the scenery changing to reveal hints of the desert as you approach the city of Errachidia. After having lunch we'll continue our trip via the Ziz Valley to Erfoud Rissani and Merzouga. When we drink a glass of mint tea we will leave our luggage in a safe room then take a camel ride to a Berber camp in the middle of the Erg Chebbi Sad Dunes which are the highest sand dunes in North Africa. The camel trek takes about 1hr 30 min to the camp where we will set up Berber tents for our night in the desert. The tents are well equipped with mattresses blankets and cushions. After dinner we will gather around the fire and enjoy the sound of traditional Berber drums looking at the stars.

Day 2: Merzouga Desert - Todra Gorge - Dades Valley

Waking up by the call of your guide very earlier to watch the sunrise then enjoying breakfast. You will trek back to your hotel where you can have hot shower and get ready for the new journey. We will depart to Rissani you will have a visit to Zawiya Moulay Ali ash-Sharif and you may also investigate the Souk (local market) with the opportunity to see the Fondouks where donkeys gather. Continuing on our drive toward Tineghir passing by Erfoud the capital of marble fossil . On this Fes Sahara Desert Tour you will view the Khatarat (Canal irrigation system) on our route. Our next stop is in Tinejdad or Tineghir where you will have lunch. Later on we will continue on the road alongside the river to reach the Todra Gorges where you will hike/Walk on foot through this stunning place while enjoying the views of high rock walls (up to 300 meters). Afterwards we head to Boumalne Dades then to the Dades Gorges where you will have time to see its rock formations human bodies fingers of monkeys . Dinner and overnight stay in a Hotel.

Day 3: Dades Valley - Kelaa Magouna - Ouarzazate - Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah - High Atlas Mountain - Marrakech

Taking a breakfast we'll drive through the Dades Valley towards Kalaat Mgouna and Ouarzazate. The route through the Dades Valley the way of the thousand Kasbahs provides numerous photo opportunities. After this We will visit the Roses valley and Skoura village then continue to Ouarzazate as it is called the Hollywood of Africa . We will have Lunch at in the famous Ait Ben Haddou kasbah the largest Kasbah in Morocco. After touring this UNESCO World Heritage site our journey will continue through the majestic Tizi nTichka pass reaching an altitude of 2260m over the High Atlas Mountains. We will take a break to enjoy the panoramic views and visit the argan oil cooperative. We will arrive in Marrakech late afternoon or early evening. Desert Tour from Fes to Marrakech

Day 1 : Fes - Ifrane - Azrou - Midelt - Ziz Valley - Merzouga:

Today on this Fes Sahara Desert Tour and in the morning you will travel through the middle Atlas via Ifran Moroccan Switzerland and Azrou. You will have a stop at the cedar forest for a visit to Cedre Goraud Tree where you will see Barbary apes. From here we drive further south passing by several towns and you will get the opportunity to view nomads living in tents alongside the way. You will also see the volcanic rocks. Our next stop is in Midelt where you will enjoy your lunch. Later on continuing our drive by crossing the Tizi N'Talghomt Pass (1907m) while enjoying the panoramic views. You will also cross Ziz Gorge and the tunnel. Near Errachidia you will see the Barrage Hassan Al-Dakhil which has turquoise blue water. Continue our drive to Erfoud you will have stop for a panoramic view of Aoufous palmeraie along Ziz River. Day 2 : Tour around Erg Chebbi Desert - Camel Ride & Night in Desert:

After breakfast in the hotel you will start an explorative journey of the area you will visit the nomads in their goat hair tent and learn about the desert life. On this Fes Sahara Desert Tour you will visit the Gnaoua people originally slaves brought from Sudan here you will have the opportunity to listen to their music and learn about their culture and lifestyle. Depending on what time of year you visit you may have a visit to the lake of Merzouga and its bird population such as the Flamingos . Today you will travel to Marrakech via Boumalne Dades El-Kelaa M'Gouna and Skoura. You will admire the views of the Valley of One Thousand Kasbahs Valley of the Roses and Skoura Oasis while driving. We will reach Ouarzazate where you may have a stop to view the Kasbah of Taourirt that was built by the Glaoui dynasty. From here we head to the village of Ait Benhaddou having Lunch break then exploring the exotic Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou. Later on you will be driven across the Tizi N'Tichka Pass (2260 m) you will have opportunities to take photos and enjoy the scenes of High Atlas Mountains along with Berber villages on the way. Desert Trip for 2 days/1 night starting in Fez and ending in Fez.

Day 1: Fez - Ifrane - Midelt - Ziz Gorges - Erfoud - Merzouga.

Your driver will meet you at your riad or Hotel at 8:00a.m. depart and transport (7 hours) over the Middle Atlas mountains through the cedar forests of Ifrane (the Switzerland of Morocco),azrou Midelt and the Ziz gorges towards Sahara until the Erg Chebbi dunes appear on the horizon.,after relaxing few minuts in Merzouga,we go to the camels who are waiting to take us on an adventure in the sand dunes. We will spend the night in an equipped camp with drums music in the middle of the Sahara we go to a high dunes to see the sunset we will spend the night in nomad tents.

Day 2: Merzouga - Midelt - Ifrane - Fez.

We will wake up early to enjoy a magnificent sunrise on the dunes then take a camel ride back to the hotel. After freshening up and breakfast we'll leave for Fez.We will travel via the Ziz Valley and the Middle Atlas mountains as we depart the desert region to Fes. We will drive through the cedar forests of Azrou and stop to hand feed the monkeys. We will continue via Ifrane the ‘Switzerland of Morocco' to arrive early evening to Fes. The Tour includes
